No Sound or Distorted Sound When Installing SR-JK11H

Overview

This article covers how to fix not having any sound or distorted sound when installing the SR-JK11H Heigh10 kit into any 2011 to 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK body style.

Cause: There was an error in the last production run of harnesses that has the front and rear speaker wires connected to the same pins in the vehicle harness.

This is what an improperly pinned harness looks like:

Solution: Connect the speaker wires to the correct locations in the vehicle harness. The wires from the "Amplified" plug should be wired as follows: White to Green, White/Black to Green/Black, Gray to Purple, Gray/Black to Purple/Black.

2. Cut all speaker wires in these locations.

Once you have cut the wires, connect them according to the chart below.

When finished it should look like this:
