The Maximum Input Level Control is a patent-pending level-setting circuit that prevents clipping and distortion.
It calculates when the waveform of an incoming audio signal is clipping, and if it is, the M.I.L.C LED will illuminate indicating clipping/distortion is imminent.
This feature allows the user to determine the point of clipping, and then be able to adjust the gains on their line converter and/or processor so they would never need to turn the volume up beyond the point of clipping for optimum sound quality.
